.What does the work of the CIAD-Central office consist in?

At the CIAD-central office the animals are registered with the help of their tattoo, ID-chip or a numbered badge and their coordinates which are computerized so that the animal may be identified immediately after being found.

Which are the additional services of CIAD?

Every year all the owners receive an owner ship-card serving as a proof in case an animal is found or is stolen. Apart from fighting against theft CIAD also fights against experiments on animals. Tattooed animals must not be taken for these experiments. This it is evident that tattooed and registered animals are protected against these dangers.

Who is CIAD?

CIAD is a central office working on the national as well as the international level together with the associations for the protection of animals in order to bring animals back as quickly as possible to their owners.

How long has CIAD existed?

CIAD was founded in 1983, in co-operation with the "Ligue Nationale pour la Protection des Animaux a.s.b.l." and the veterinarians and has functioned so fare with excellent results.

How much does the subscription cost?

The yearly subscription costs 12.50 EUR for the first animal and 6.50 EUR for every additional animal

What is included in the subscription?

• The registration for one year
• A yearly ownership-card, serving as proof.
• In case of loss we inform the associations for the protection of animals in the region where the animal has been lost, as well as the animal has been lost, as well as the national asylum about the exact co-ordinates of your animal.
